Having electric RV stabilizer jacks is nice, but when they come built into the camper it can be very expensive. Lucking there is a very simple and inexpensive solution to convert your manual crank jacks into electric jacks.
Most rv scissor jacks use a 3/4″ socket to drive the screw rod, moving the jack up and down. As long as you have an electric drill all you need to do is to get an adapter that connects it to the jack. There are many 3/4″ sockets with hex drives that are available on amazon, click here for an example. This simple adapter typically costs less than $10 and is worth its weight in gold. I can put all four jacks down on my camper in less than two minutes with this simple trick! If you don’t already have a battery powered drill in your camper I would highly recommend getting one. There is always something that comes up where a drill will come in handy!
